About Me

Since 1987, I have been assisting various friends and family members with maintaining and improving their primary residences, as well as vacation homes and rental properties.  Dwellings I have helped with have included single-family homes, two and three-family homes and condominiums.  The work performed has ranged from interior and exterior painting to decorative landscaping to installation of new hot water heaters to light carpentry projects and repair of existing masonry work.

I purchased my own home in 2001 and have been doing the repairs, maintenance, and improvements myself, including replacing exterior doors, plumbing and electrical upgrades, and a bathroom remodel.

In June 2007, I started doing property inspections for insurance companies.  This included going out to the property doing a visual inspection with photos and measurements.  I would document any improvements that were made to the property along with any unrepaired damage or property maintenance that was not being performed. It was while performing property inspections for the insurance companies and seeing the substandard work that homeowners spent their hard earned money on that the seed for this company was planted.

Northern Essex Community College awarded me a certificate in 2008 for completing and passing the Home Inspection Program they offer.  This program included courses that focused on all the major systems of a house, including plumbing and electrical, and the problems to look for.  These courses were based on the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Training Curriculum and are also a National Association of Certified Home Inspector (NACHI) approved curriculum.
